With people trying to maintain healthier lifestyles, dieting has become part of everyday life. Have you dieted? Would you consider joining a diet club such as Weight Watchers or Rosemary Conley if you needed to diet? What have your experience of diet programmes been like?
I found that replacing bread and potatos with lentils, supplemented with fresh green vegeables(particually sprouts)works wonders.

I've found that when people are stressed they turn to drink or food or some other addiction.
Whilst some eat for comfort others eat less to feel in control.
I know exactly where I lie!!

I watched Supersize -v- Superskinny for the first time on Tuesday evening (mistakenly whilst eating!). Parent's have a lot to answer for when it comes to feeding their kids but can't see that they are doing anything wrong. I also don't understand the family in the paper the other day who see their continued obesity as an illness. Everyone has to put food in their mouths to live but these people don't know when to stop. If they want to commit suicide by food why should we pay to prevent them.

It seems I am sinking back into my old chocolate eating ways. Am trying not to eat as much as before, that should help hopefully?

Three weeks and no chocolate for me! Haven't noticed much change yet, but live in hope. I have put some weight on with not having a dog to walk every day. And am now trying to lose it. But gently!!

Well,of course ,I've tried them all.My latest is ..running (which is at least free).I figured I could save the fees and spend it on something really worthwhile (chocolate).

I've never had to diet either which makes me feel very fortunate as I know how some people struggle endlessly to lose weight. I have put on nearly a stone though due to an underactive thyroid and no diet on earth can help that. With this extra stone I still only weigh 8st 10 lbs (I'm 5ft 2" tall). If I could lose the extra that's ended up around my tummy say
5lbs I'd be happy!

Never been on a diet in my life, but at xx years old, 5'9'' tall, weighing 11st. 4lbs and still wearing 30'' waist trousers I am pleased to say I have never had the need to.
