I was like you Doug, when I had to put my last dog Max to sleep. shed so many tears over him, decided I couldn't face that again. But kept looking at rescue dogs needing good homes. And have found out since adopting Felix (the stray cat). That my family were going to get me another dog after my holiday. First time I haven't had a dog for nearly 40 years. But Felix is a lovely cat and very affectionate, so am happy with him.

Christabel how I envy you your feisty Jack Russell, we lost our Westie last September. We still cannot decide even if we are going to get another. I have looked at so many "rescue" websites as we thought about getting an older dog who probably needs a home when younger ones get snapped up but we have not yet crossed our rubicon. I'll keep you posted.

I have a Jack Russell too,Barbara. They are so fiesty! Sadly, the group of dog walkers in my neck of the woods appear to avoid me when they see the hair stand on end (my dog's not mine!).

A very clever dog is Harvey (forget his real name). Love the advert, once had a Jack Russell very much like him, one of my favourite breeds, along with German Shepherds and Labradors.
Now I have a cat! A stray I am calling Felix. Couldn't make my mind up whether to have another dog or cat. and the decision has been made for me.

Barnaby not Barbaby

Nice to see that the advertising skills of Harvey the dog got him a home with the new DCI Barbaby in Midsomer.

I am missing the Lego poll..it had become like a part of me.
Of course I know that the only thing to do is to ..Leg-go.
Posted by: Blue Pees | 20/01/2011 at 00:13
Hurray, a new poll, I have already voted and 100% [me] have voted 'No'
Posted by: I.S. | 18/01/2011 at 18:26
Would have thought Lego poll was on it's way to breaking all records, for the length of time a poll is active.
Posted by: Barbara | 15/01/2011 at 23:03
The current Lego poll would like it to be known that it would like to live to be 100.

Hello Team.
We respectfully request a change in the poll. The current one is looking tired .

The comment marked b is from me... don't know what happened there!
Posted by: Barbara | 10/01/2011 at 23:00
Maybe the Lego people pay extra every time we complain about the poll? There must be some reason for it to be kept on so long. And it's really a very uninteresting subject to start with. Well it is to me!

Let Everybody Give Out a cheer when the LEGO poll is taken off.

Down with the Lego poll .
Posted by: christabel | 09/01/2011 at 19:24
I think it is time to LE'GO!!
Posted by: P. Laywell | 09/01/2011 at 16:32
Can we have a poll about how many of us panel are sick to the back teeth of the LEGO POLL please, pretty please.
Posted by: Denise | 09/01/2011 at 10:49
Christabel I thought the Lego poll had driven you away, perhaps your return will drive IT away instead. Funny I thought one of the purposes of this site was to have quick polls to get our opinions. Obviously I got that wrong as well.

I wonder if everyone is too busy to blog? Must admit I've been remiss lately. Though I do have a good excuse, my son and daughter in law have been over from Spain staying with me. So I have been busier than usual. They go home on Thursday, when normal service will be resumed!
Hope your Mum is doing ok Christabel?

Is there anybody there?

Thanks Denise.

Sorry to hear about your mum Christabel. Hope she feels better soon. So when your not nursing at work you are nursing your mum. That's what a caring professional does. Especially when it is your own mum. Don't forget to charge your own batteries though.

Have not had a computer for weeks and still can't get it fixed so I am using my daughter's laptop.
