Libya have called for an immediate ceasefire following a United Nations resolution to enforce a no-fly zone and protect civilians and civilian areas within Libya. Do you think the United Nations should have acted sooner? Should the resolution have gone further? Was it right for Britain to support the resolution?
None of our business, we should keep out of it. But too late, as usual we first in. Wonder where the troops and equipment came from?

Like most of the previous writers I do not feel we should even be there in any way at all. The original idea of a "no fly zone" seems to have been interpreted very freely with the attacks on ground armoured forces. All we will do is provide the madman Gaddafi with more ammunition to eventually turn the argument around so that the "Wicked Westerners" are shown to be the root and cause of all the trouble. Why do we feel we have to get involved?

Why do we have to always get involved ? We are a tiny, tiny country..it's ridiculous.
I hate fighting .The world is crazy and greedy.
I worry for my boy's future.

Looks like the Libyan affair is another mess in which we are becoming embroiled with no forseeable result that would be to the benefit of the UK. Why must we always be amongst the front runners particularly now that our armed forces are stretched to breaking point? Surely it would have been a more practical response to Gaddafi's assault on his own people if the military initiative was taken by states of the Arab League who possess the neccessary capability, with purely political support from the UK and other Western countries thus avoiding the criticism of "colonialism" now being levied against us by Gaddafi which wiil inevitably resonate with the "Arab street" which historically has a built in antipathy towards the non Muslim world especially the US and UK.

I think Gaddaffi is a despotic tyrant, but what is happening in Libya is none of our business. Let them sort it out themselves, in the meantime we should be getting our troops out of Afghanistan.

I do not believe we should be involved in Lybia, nor Afganistan, or Iraq.
We are in a country that is virtually going into meltown. The UN should be helping uis to get rid of these despotic type rulers, i.e. Cameron and co. the bankers and all the rich friernds who are bleeding us dry. The rich are getting richer while all others are getting poorer. the young, the sick, the old, the disabled, are all targets for thbis government to destroy.
They are unable to run the UJK yet they stick their oar into all other countries where oil is concerned. Do not see them rushing into Zimbabwee or other poorer countries that are run by despots.

It is my belief the U.K.should withdraw completely from Iraq,Afghanstan and not get involved in Libya,in the past we did'nt get much support from the other E.U.countries in Iraq etc..With our economy in dire straits we really cannot afford to support any foreign actions by beggining to look after our homeland like Germany etc.
